I'm a copywriter for a youth branding agency in Lincoln, Nebraska called Archrival. That's right... Lincoln, Nebraska. And you're about to see what that's like! Exciting, no?!
Back in college, I Photoshoped myself into a bunch of movie posters because I thought it was a pretty cool way to spend my Friday nights. And it made me laugh.
Jason:
Oh boy... there's a long boring answer there. But the short answer is that it's trying because- because he's so new. And because he struggles so much with trying not to look into the camera and stuff like that. But we help him! And he will pop from this film! You keep your eye on him.
We watched this documentary the other night, and it was fantastic.
It’s the story of San Fransisco’s first openly gay man elected to political office, the community he was a part of, and his assassination.
This was just 30 years ago but it seems like a different world. Gays weren’t allowed to teach. They lost their jobs if they came out of the closet. For crying out loud, the killer (who also murdered the mayor that day) only went to prison for five years!
I think we’re really good at blocking out things like this because we’re ashamed of what happened. Or we want to pretend that we’ve come so far. But I don’t know if that’s the case. It was powerfully thought-provoking in that way. And watching it really renewed my appreciation for the history that we’re making in California right now.
Kevin just sent me a link to Berkley Illustration’s ETSY page where I found about 40 paintings I want to hang on my wall at home. I’m starting with this Admiral Tiger.
